Last Updated: 28 August 2026 · Effective Date: 28 August 2026
This Refund Policy forms part of the Terms and Conditions of MediPaid Technologies Inc. ("MediPaid," "we," "us," or "our") and governs cancellations and refunds for DishCal PH consumer subscriptions purchased through our checkout.
1. What This Policy Covers
This policy applies to DishCal PH subscriptions bought by individuals — the ₱199 per month and ₱1,990 per year plans described in Terms and Conditions §7.5, paid by GCash, ShopeePay, or credit or debit card through Xendit, our BSP-regulated payment service provider.
It does not apply to MediPaid enterprise claims services (DWY/DFY) or HFIC membership. Those are billed under a signed service agreement, and the refund, credit, and termination terms of that agreement govern instead.
2. Try Before You Pay
There is no trial, because nothing expires. Every account includes a permanently free plan: creating an account, logging meals, your complete history, your targets, and up to two medication reminders. No payment method is collected and nothing is ever charged automatically.
Subscribing adds AI meal analysis, the full condition-specific recommendation list, and unlimited medications. If you stop paying you return to the free plan — your records are never deleted or hidden, every medication you already saved stays visible, and only the paid extras stop. We do not charge you to find out whether DishCal PH suits you.
3. Cancellation
- You may cancel at any time from within the DishCal PH application — Home → Go Premium → Manage subscription, or by emailing support@medipaid.tech. No explanation is required.
- Cancellation stops all future charges immediately.
- You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. A cancellation part-way through a month or year does not cut your access short.
- After cancellation takes effect we retain no payment method, so no further charge is possible.
4. When You Are Entitled to a Refund
We will refund you in full in each of the following cases:
| Situation | What we do |
|---|---|
| Duplicate charge — you were charged more than once for the same period | Full refund of the extra charge or charges |
| Charge after cancellation — you were billed after cancelling | Full refund of that charge |
| Wrong amount — you were charged an amount other than the plan price you authorised | Refund of the difference, or of the whole charge where the plan was not the one you selected |
| Failed activation — payment succeeded but your subscription was not activated and we cannot activate it | Full refund of that charge |
| Unauthorised charge — a charge you did not authorise, reported to us in good faith | Full refund after verification with Xendit |
| Prolonged service failure — a fault attributable to us prevents access for a material part of a billing period | Refund or account credit, at your choice, in proportion to the period lost |
A price increase applied without the 30 days' notice required by Terms and Conditions §7.5 is also refundable in full.
5. When a Refund Does Not Apply
Outside the situations in §4, subscription fees are not refunded for the unused part of a period already paid for — because cancellation leaves your access running to the end of that period, and because the free plan lets you evaluate the service indefinitely without paying.
Refunds are also not available where:
- The subscription was used for the period in question and the service was functioning as described.
- Access was lost through suspension or termination of your account for breach of the Acceptable Use Policy (Terms and Conditions §5).
- The request concerns a charge older than twelve (12) months.
Nothing in this section limits your rights under Philippine consumer protection law, including the Consumer Act of the Philippines (RA 7394), or your right to raise a dispute with your bank, card issuer, or e-wallet provider.
6. How to Request a Refund
Send an email to support@medipaid.tech with the subject line "Refund Request", including:
- The email address on your DishCal PH account.
- The date and amount of the charge.
- The payment method used (GCash, ShopeePay, or card — last 4 digits only; never send full card numbers).
- A brief description of the reason.
You may also request a refund through the in-app Help → Contact Support form.
7. How Long It Takes
| Stage | Time |
|---|---|
| We acknowledge your request | Within 2 business days |
| We decide and tell you the outcome | Within 7 business days of receiving a complete request |
| We instruct Xendit to release an approved refund | Within 2 business days of approval |
Once released, the time for the money to reach you depends on the rail used for the original payment:
| Payment method | Typical time to appear |
|---|---|
| GCash | 3–5 business days |
| ShopeePay | 3–5 business days |
| Credit or debit card | 5–15 business days, depending on your issuing bank; it may appear on your next statement |
Refunds are returned to the original payment method. We cannot redirect a refund to a different account, card, or wallet — this is a requirement of the payment rails, not a MediPaid preference. Where the original method has been closed, we will work with you and Xendit to find a lawful alternative.
All refunds are made in Philippine Pesos (PHP) for the amount charged. We do not deduct a processing or administrative fee from a refund.
8. Disputes and Chargebacks
If you are not satisfied with our decision, tell us — reply to our email and the matter will be escalated internally under Terms and Conditions §14 (Dispute Resolution).
You retain the right to dispute a charge directly with your bank, card issuer, or e-wallet provider. We ask only that you contact us first, because most cases are resolved faster that way than through a formal chargeback. We cooperate fully with Xendit and issuers in any dispute investigation.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy. Material changes will be announced by email or website notice, and the version in force on the date of your charge is the version that governs that charge.
